By focusing on conflict resolution techniques, we can effectively manage stress and disagreements in our personal and professional lives. At its core, mediation teaches us to listen actively and with empathy. For me, this was a game-changer. I used to get defensive during disagreements, but I learned to practice active listening and consider different points of view. Something else that I learned with mediation is that brainstorming is the best tool for resolving conflicts. Being creative, bringing "out-of-the-box" ideas to the table, and opening my mind to others' ideas not only leads us to completely unique solutions, but it's a lot of fun, too!
